About the Role
What if you could do the kind of work the world needs? At WSP, you can access our global scale, contribute to landmark projects and connect with the brightest minds in your field to do the best work of your life. Our environmental Ground & Water specialists support clients in the assessment and investigation of Brownfield land, supporting development proposals and commercial decisions. The team is also involved in the demolition and decommissioning of entire non-operational power stations and managing small, specialised redundant plants within active process areas.
We are recruiting graduates with a flexible approach and an appetite to learn for our Contaminated Land and Demolition & Decommissioning teams across multiple UK locations.
Contaminated Land Team: Graduates will support geo-environmental, contaminated land, and hydrogeology projects, including site investigations, risk assessments, remediation, and reporting. Activities include Phase 1 desk studies, Phase 2 site investigation design and supervision, soil sampling and logging, subcontractor management, environmental site monitoring, data collection and management, and client liaison. The role involves significant fieldwork and progression towards project management.
Demolition and Decommissioning Team: This predominantly site-based role involves supporting decommissioning, demolition, and remediation projects across the UK, with potential international travel. Graduates will monitor operations, assist with planning and programming, gather data, and liaise with clients and contractors. Projects range from decommissioning power stations to managing specialised plants within active process areas.
You will join an enthusiastic and supportive team, working with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, and adapting to dynamic project environments.
Graduate Development Programme: Our two-year programme supports your personal and professional growth through blended learning, business and professional skills training, career workshops, mentoring for professional registration, and on-the-job experience. We encourage chartered status achievement and provide a clear pathway for career progression within WSP.
Imagine a better future for you and a better future for us all. Join a global community of over 69,000 employees dedicated to making a positive impact in communities worldwide. With WSP, you can.
