Our environmental Ground & Water specialists support clients in the assessment and investigation of Brownfield land, supporting development proposals and commercial decisions. The team is also involved in the demolition and decommissioning of entire non-operational power stations as well as managing small, specialised redundant plants within active process areas.
We are recruiting graduates with a flexible approach and an appetite to learn for our Contaminated Land and Demolition & Decommissioning teams.
Contaminated Land Team
As a graduate in this team, you will support geo-environmental, contaminated land and hydrogeology projects. You will assist in the delivery of projects by working closely with project managers and directors, including significant periods on site. Activities include investigating, assessing and remediating contaminated sites, progressing from fieldwork to reporting, client liaison and project management.
Typical activities:
- Phase 1 desk study research and reporting
- Phase 2 site investigation design, supervision, soil sampling and logging
- Subcontractor management
- Human health and water environment risk assessment and reporting
- Adherence to technical, engineering and health and safety best practices
- Communication and liaison with clients, subcontractors and project teams
- Environmental site monitoring, data collection and management
- Preparation and factual checking of ground investigation reports
Demolition and Decommissioning Team
This predominantly site-based role involves supporting decommissioning, demolition and remediation projects across the UK and potentially internationally. You will monitor operations and gain experience to progress towards supervision and management of works.
Typical activities:
- Attendance at site briefings, meetings and workshops
- Observation and reporting of contractors’ works
- Assisting clients with planning and programming
- Data gathering and surveying
- Communication and liaison with clients, contractors and project teams
Projects range from decommissioning entire power stations to managing small redundant plants within active process areas.

Experience
Graduates with at least a 2:2 in a relevant master's or bachelor's degree.
Previous experience is not mandatory but a flexible approach and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications
Relevant degree qualification in a subject aligned to the role applied for (e.g. Environmental Science, Engineering, Construction Management, Health & Safety, Demolition Management).
