About the Teams and Projects
As a Graduate in Environmental Services, you will work on innovative projects across Nature Advisory (including Marine & Aquatics), Air Quality, Acoustics, or Landscape Architecture. Projects include air quality frameworks, environmental impact assessments, renewable energy schemes, public realm designs, and more. You will gain hands-on experience with advanced modelling tools, monitoring plans, and contribute to technical reports and client collaborations.
Air Quality Team
Working in Air Quality offers an exciting entry into air quality modelling and management, with opportunities to develop skills in pollutant monitoring, dispersion modelling, odour assessment, and regulatory permitting. You will engage in site work, data analysis, and contribute to policy and sustainable development initiatives.
Landscape Architecture Team
Supporting client projects alongside senior staff, you will contribute to landscape design and assessment across various sectors. Activities include design development, technical reporting, and use of software such as AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite. You will work within a supportive team environment, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Graduate Development Programme and Future Progression
Our two-year Graduate Development Programme supports your personal and professional growth through blended learning, career workshops, mentoring, and on-the-job experience. We encourage chartered status with professional bodies and provide full support through training agreements. Many employees have progressed from graduate roles to senior positions within WSP.

Experience
No prior experience required. Enthusiasm for learning and a flexible approach are essential.
About You
- Graduated with at least a 2:2 in a relevant master's or bachelor's degree
- Enthusiastic about creativity, numerical skills, and problem-solving
- Passionate about data analysis and interpretation using Excel and GIS
- Able to travel to sites and client offices not accessible by public transport as required
- Motivated to share new ideas and contribute to a collaborative environment
Qualifications
A relevant degree qualification in environmental sciences, engineering, landscape architecture, or related disciplines is required. Professional registration support will be provided during the programme.
