Do you enjoy physical outdoor work and want to build a career caring for the natural environment?
We are currently recruiting Apprentice Arborists to join a professional tree care team based near Radlett. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about working outdoors, nature, and learning specialist skills in arboriculture.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist with tree pruning, felling, and removal under supervision

• Learn to operate and maintain tools such as chainsaws, chippers, and climbing equipment

• Participate in tree planting and aftercare

• Work at height using ropes, harnesses, and climbing techniques

• Clear worksites and help maintain equipment

• Follow health & safety procedures and best practice at all times

• Attend training sessions and complete coursework as part of your apprenticeship

• Support senior arborists and team members with a range of practical tasks

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 07:00–16:00 (40 hours per week)

What We’re Looking For:

• GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent preferred)

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions

• Detail-oriented, organised, and able to follow instructions

• Positive attitude, patience, and willingness to learn

• Any previous experience or relevant qualifications can be taken into account to adjust training accordingly

Your Training:

• Level 2 Arborist Apprenticeship Standard

• Regular on-site and off-site training

• Monthly team and individual development sessions

• Opportunities for continuous personal development

• Site and company induction provided
