Net Zero Careers Accelerator supports people into high quality jobs across construction, engineering and green sector roles. This opportunity is with a major specialist delivering complex building and infrastructure projects across the City of London. The role forms part of a structured apprenticeship programme delivered in partnership with a Skills Centre, providing hands on experience and training while working on live demolition projects.

Camden, City of London, Hackney, Haringey, Islington, Lambeth, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Southwark, Tower Hamlets, Westminster, Wandsworth.

Want to start your career in demolition on a major City of London project?

This apprenticeship is ideal for someone who is motivated, practical and keen to learn within the construction and engineering sector. You will gain experience across a wide range of on site tasks, learn from an experienced team and develop the skills needed to progress within demolition and wider construction trades.

What you will do

• Move, secure, load and unload materials on site
• Carry out manual handling tasks safely and correctly
• Assist the site team with demolition activities and day to day duties
• Keep the work area clean and tidy
• Undertake a range of physical and practical tasks as directed by supervisors
• Attend relevant apprenticeship training at the Skills Centre
• Follow all safety instructions and site procedures at all times

Essential
• Valid CSCS Card
• Previous construction site experience

Desirable
• GCSE Grade C or Grade 4 in core subjects (or equivalent)

• Pay: £13.85 per hour
• Hours: 7.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday
• Location: City of London
• Start date: As soon as possible
