Landscaping roles play a key part in maintaining outdoor spaces, supporting biodiversity and delivering high quality public realm and residential environments.

This opportunity is based on a large development site in Haringey and offers structured, hands on training to help build a long term career in the landscaping sector.

This apprenticeship is ideal for someone who enjoys outdoor, practical work and wants to learn landscaping skills on a live site. You will work alongside experienced professionals, learning safe working practices, grounds maintenance and landscaping techniques while working towards a recognised qualification.

*Applicants must live in the borough of Haringey*  (Required for this role due to Section 106 local employment criteria)

What you will do

• Work safely on site, following all health and safety requirements and RAMS
• Support landscaping works including planting, turfing, hard landscaping and garden construction
• Carry out grounds maintenance tasks such as mowing, hedge trimming and weeding
• Assist with plant care and installation of trees, shrubs and flowers
• Use landscaping tools and equipment safely under supervision
• Take pride in the quality and presentation of completed work
• Look after materials, tools and equipment and help minimise waste
• Work as part of a team, follow instructions and take guidance from supervisors
• Be reliable, punctual and professional on site with a positive attitude

Essential
• Haringey resident
• Valid CSCS card
• Good practical skills
• Basic numeracy and literacy
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
• Reliable, punctual and willing to learn

Desirable
• Any previous landscaping, gardening or grounds maintenance experience
• Basic knowledge of landscaping works
• Attendance at college or similar training

• Pay: £14.80/hour (London Living Wage)
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
• Location: St Ann’s development site, Haringey
• Start date: As soon as possible
• Duration: Up to 24 months
