This opportunity is with a South East London based garden design and maintenance team working with residential clients on long term garden care, seasonal planting and garden development. The team is young, friendly and hands on, and offers a supportive environment for anyone looking to build practical horticulture skills.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys physically active outdoor work, has a genuine interest in gardening and wants to grow their skills step by step. You will work on garden maintenance, planting and seasonal tasks while building familiarity with long term client gardens and contributing your own creativity as you develop.

What you will do
• Lawn care including mowing, scarifying and edging
• Hedge trimming, pruning and border maintenance
• Weeding, digging and general garden upkeep
• Planting, plant care and basic propagation
• Use and maintain electric garden tools safely
• Follow structured task lists during garden visits
• Work independently once familiar with each garden
• Support seasonal planting projects and one off jobs
• Build long term knowledge of individual gardens and contribute creative ideas over time
What we are looking for
Essential
• Basic gardening and plant care knowledge
• Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor manual work
• Good spoken English at conversational level
• Reliable, punctual and proactive
• Able to work on a self employed basis and invoice for work
Desirable
• Full UK driving licence, especially for those seeking full time hours
• Experience in garden maintenance or horticulture
• Relevant horticulture training or willingness to study
• Interest in seasonal planting and long term garden development
• Pay: £17 - £20 per hour DOE
• Hours: 2 to 3 days per week initially, typically 6 to 7 hours per day, with opportunity to increase to full time over time
• Location: South East London including Bromley and surrounding areas
• Start date: February
