We are currently recruiting 2 Demolition Operative Apprentices to work on a landmark redevelopment project in Westminster, as part of the Crown Estate’s Create Programme — a pioneering initiative promoting sustainability, equity, and skills development across London’s built environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Support the safe and controlled demolition of structures including soft stripping, material handling, and structural removal

• Use hand and power tools to dismantle internal building elements (e.g. doors, ceilings, radiators)

• Assist with heating and cutting metals and lifting operations using hoists, cranes, and other equipment

• Contribute to environmental protection efforts including recycling and reducing site waste

• Follow site procedures and health & safety protocols in this safety-critical role

• Work closely with experienced site teams and supervisors to learn core demolition techniques

• Attend off-site training with the apprenticeship provider to complete your Level 2 Demolition Operative qualification

What We’re Looking For:

• Aged 18 or over

• CSCS card (essential)

• GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above) preferred

• If not already held, Level 1 English and Maths must be achieved before end-point assessment

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• Physically fit and safety-aware

• Basic IT and numeracy skills

• Punctual, reliable, and proactive in following instructions

• Willing to work on a high-profile site with a focus on sustainability and inclusion

Pay:
£27,352 per year

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:30 (40 hours per week, 1-hour lunch break)
