We are currently recruiting for an Apprentice Roofer to join a residential new build project in South Thamesmead. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to learn a skilled trade and start a long-term career in roofing and construction.

DA1, DA14, DA15, DA16, DA17, DA18, DA5, DA6, DA7, DA8, SE2, SE9, SE28.

What You’ll Do:

• Learn to install, repair, and maintain various roofing systems including slates, tiles, and cladding
• Fit insulation, roofing felt, and waterproof membranes
• Cut materials to size and follow technical drawings or instructions
• Work safely at height and follow site safety procedures
• Assist in lifting and carrying heavy materials
• Maintain a clean and organised working environment
• Work as part of a team under the guidance of experienced roofers
• Commit to completing your apprenticeship programme and attending college as required

What We’re Looking For:

• Aged 16+
• 2 or more GCSEs (Grade 4–9) including English and Maths (or equivalent)
• If you do not hold these, Functional Skills training can be provided alongside the apprenticeship
• A valid red CSCS card is required
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Good attention to detail, punctuality, and teamwork skills
• A willingness to learn and progress in the trade

Pay:

£7.55 per hour (apprenticeship rate – year one)

Hours:

38 hours per week
Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
