As an Assistant Consultant in the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) team, you will provide support in managing and delivering environmental consultancy services to a diverse range of clients. Your responsibilities will include assisting in coordinating and providing technical input into EIAs, undertaking broader environmental management tasks, and supporting project managers with site selection reports for offshore wind farms.
You will collaborate with technical specialists to develop mitigation measures, assist in implementing the latest digital EIA approaches, coordinate land access for EIA surveys such as archaeological investigations, contribute to stakeholder engagement strategies, and help finalise Environmental Statements ready for submission.

Experience
- Relevant postgraduate experience in a similar role within the UK or a jurisdiction with a comparable environmental planning system
- Experience or interest in assisting specialist environmental surveys such as ecology, noise, or air quality monitoring
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
- High level of computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office
- Willingness to travel to client locations across the UK and internationally if required
- Understanding of health and safety excellence

Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant environmental discipline with a strong emphasis on EIA and/or SEA
- Postgraduate qualification in environmental science, planning, or a related field preferred
- Sound understanding of UK environmental and planning legislation, particularly relating to EIA
- Practical knowledge of some or all technical disciplines required for EIA
- Membership of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) or another relevant professional association is desirable
