As an Assistant Consultant in the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) team, you will support the management and delivery of environmental consultancy services to a diverse range of clients. Your responsibilities will include coordinating and providing technical input into EIAs, undertaking broader environmental management tasks, and assisting project managers with key project elements such as site selection reports for offshore wind farms.
You will assist in developing mitigation measures, implementing the latest digital EIA approaches, coordinating land access for surveys including archaeological investigations, contributing to stakeholder engagement strategies, and helping to finalise Environmental Statements ready for submission.

Experience
- Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant environmental discipline with a strong emphasis on EIA and/or SEA
- Relevant postgraduate experience in a similar role within the UK or a comparable environmental planning system
- Experience or interest in assisting with specialist environmental surveys such as ecology, noise, or air quality monitoring
- Willingness to travel to client locations across the UK and internationally if required
- Sound understanding of UK environmental and planning legislation, particularly relating to EIA

Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification in environmental science, planning, or a related field is desirable
- Practical knowledge of some or all technical disciplines required for EIA
- Membership of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) or another relevant professional association is advantageous
