As an Assistant Consultant in the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) team, you will support the management and delivery of environmental consultancy services across a diverse client base. Your responsibilities will include coordinating and providing technical input into EIAs, assisting with broader environmental management tasks, and contributing to key project elements such as site selection reports for offshore wind farms.
You will assist project managers by liaising with technical specialists to develop mitigation measures, implement the latest digital EIA approaches, coordinate land access for environmental surveys including archaeological investigations, contribute to stakeholder engagement strategies, and help finalise Environmental Statements ready for submission.

Experience
- Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant environmental discipline with strong emphasis on EIA and/or SEA
- Relevant postgraduate experience in a similar role within the UK or comparable environmental planning system
- Experience or interest in assisting specialist environmental surveys such as ecology, noise, or air quality monitoring
- Willingness to travel to client locations across the UK and internationally if required
- Understanding of UK environmental and planning legislation, particularly related to EIA

Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification in environmental science, planning, or related field preferred
- Practical knowledge of some or all technical disciplines required for EIA
- Membership of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) or another relevant professional association is desirable
