We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Associate Director to join our Environmental Consents nationwide team. This role is strategically significant for our business and offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to identify, win, and deliver multi-disciplinary inputs to a range of energy projects for a wide client base. Our current project portfolio includes some of the UK's most important and transformational infrastructure projects, playing a key role in helping the UK meet its Net Zero commitments.
As an Associate Director, you will work with a range of technical environmental specialists and design teams across multiple sectors to direct and lead environmental teams and inputs to project designs and assessments. You will be instrumental in improving environmental performance across diverse projects and sectors. This role suits an enthusiastic individual looking to influence, lead, and deliver environmental elements of engineering projects.
Your responsibilities will include directing and leading projects, recruitment, bidding, project team management, project delivery, and financial management. You will play a key role in expanding and diversifying our water sector offer, working alongside sector leads and client account managers to provide thought leadership and win new business.
Additional duties include providing environmental advice and support to clients and colleagues, promoting sustainable design and environmental enhancement, leading large and complex projects, building client relationships, and proactively seeking new business opportunities. You will also contribute to the development of innovative techniques such as Digital EIA and Future Ready EIA, drive performance improvement and career advancement within the team, and promote an inclusive workplace culture that prioritizes health, safety, and wellbeing.

Experience
- Relevant environmental or planning degree or equivalent experience
- Demonstrable experience in EIA delivery for major water schemes
- Familiarity with consenting processes such as Habitats Regulations Assessments and SSSI Assents
- Thorough knowledge of a diverse range of environmental issues
- Proven line management experience
- Track record of developing and upskilling internal teams
- Evidence of successfully driving business growth
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
