About the Role
SLR Consulting Limited is seeking an experienced Associate Hydraulic Modeller to join our growing hydrology and modelling discipline. You will support flood risk management capabilities alongside water quality and other technical disciplines, working with a diverse range of private sector clients delivering innovative sustainable solutions to environmental and climate challenges. This role involves directing and leading technically complex hydraulic modelling projects including flood mitigation studies, water quality and sediment transport, and large-scale green energy infrastructure. The successful candidate will have experience working to NPPF, NPF4, TAN15, and relevant UK hydraulic modelling technical standards. This is an excellent opportunity to become a key member of an established team, contributing to a variety of projects, business development, and project management within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Experience
- In-depth knowledge of hydraulic modelling software packages including ESTRY, TUFLOW, and Flood Modeller
- Proven experience leading and technically reviewing complex hydraulic modelling projects
- Proficiency in QGIS or other industry-standard GIS software for hydraulic modelling
- Experience delivering projects across the UK
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information to clients and internal teams
- Ideally experience with TUFLOW FV
