We combine tech-enabled support with in-person delivery to connect local communities to good work, across a range of net zero sectors, with a particular focus on construction. We work with partners from Local Authorities, Housing Associations and developers, to educators, corporates and business networks.
We’re growing fast, and looking for a talented and motivated Business engagement and partnerships manager to join our team. You will be driving forward some of the most ambitious and impactful employment programmes in the UK, with a particular focus on construction, green skills and the wider built environment. We’re open to a range of experience levels.

The Role
The Business engagement and partnerships manager will be leading the engagement of businesses, housing associations, councils, education and other community partners to support our expansion into Manchester. The key objectives are to secure employer vacancies, generate partnerships that unlock training pathways and establish a Manchester partner ecosystem, to allow us to hit hiring targets.
Key Activities:
- Business engagement: engaging with businesses in sectors including sustainable construction/retrofit, renewable energy and natural resource management to unlock roles
- Housing associations and councils: building relationships with key owners of social housing and other assets (e.g. EV street lighting, EV charge points) required to achieve net zero
- Education partners: building relationships with colleges and training providers delivering skills courses in solar, heat pumps, insulation, electric vehicles and a range of other net zero aligned technologies
- Community partners: engaging with community partners including community groups, employability providers, voluntary/community sector organisations to promote available roles and training
- Client Relationship Management: build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their hiring needs, providing tailored recruitment solutions, and offering market insights;particularly in construction and green skills. Work closely with internal colleagues and external stakeholders to manage partnerships and align delivery.
- Candidate onboarding: delivering sessions to job seekers at education and community partners to support them to understand roles available, requirements and sharing insights for successful a
- Demonstrated experience in a business-facing or partnerships role, ideally within the recruitment or employment support sector
- Experience of working at high pace and accuracy in a target driven environment, and ability to consistently deliver above programme targets
- Experience working with employers of all sizes – ideally in sustainable construction/retrofit, renewable energy and natural resource management, though we are open to people with experience in other sectors who can quickly adapt
- Proactive, entrepreneurial and a self-starter, comfortable both working independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated ability to establish, optimise and semi-automate processes and very comfortable in the use of data and digital tools with good attention to detail
