About the Role
The Community Fundraising team is seeking a Direct Marketing Manager (maternity cover) to support the development, promotion, and analysis of our Community Fundraising product portfolio. This role will focus on attracting new and diverse audiences to raise vital funds for nature. Key responsibilities include supporting the launch of our Do It Yourself (DIY) fundraising product and assisting with In Aid Of (IAO) fundraising activities across the UK. You will manage marketing requests across all new and existing Community Fundraising products and campaigns, applying your expertise in data analytics to respond to trends and sector best practices. The role demands proficiency in direct marketing techniques such as testing, profiling, segmentation, return on investment analysis, and cost per contact. You will deliver multi-channel campaigns in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects and budgets, and maintain excellent stakeholder relationships. An understanding of Community Fundraising developments and best practice is advantageous. The ideal candidate will be driven, creative, and detail-oriented, with a strong ability to analyse and report on campaign performance to continually improve results.
Experience
- Degree educated or equivalent experience in a direct marketing role
- Proven track record in planning and delivering multi-channel direct marketing campaigns
- Strong knowledge of direct marketing sector developments, legal requirements, and best practice
- Expertise in direct marketing techniques including testing, profiling, segmentation, return on investment, and cost per contact
- Experience managing multiple projects and budgets
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable with data analysis and metrics to improve campaign performance
- Charity sector developments and best practice knowledge is desirable
- Experience in environment/conservation or not-for-profit/charity sectors is advantageous
