About the Role
Are you passionate about nature and eager to make a real difference? We are seeking an inspiring individual to empower and grow our RSPB Youth Group network by offering leadership, advice, and support. In this role, you will shape the next generation of nature champions by working through volunteers. You will provide regional coordination and direction of RSPB Youth Group operations and build volunteer capability across England. Working collaboratively, you will develop high-quality initiatives that enable our Youth Groups to inspire new and more diverse support, giving nature a voice in more communities across the region.
You will advocate for RSPB Youth Groups and embed them within area teams, projects, and activities as part of our strategic outcomes to tackle the nature and climate emergency. Ensuring compliance with RSPB policies, procedures, legal requirements, and Youth Group frameworks will be key. You will monitor and evaluate Youth Group activities to demonstrate their positive impact and contribution to RSPB’s strategic goals.
Identifying, developing, and delivering training and resources to maximise Youth Group impact will be part of your remit. You will champion RSPB Youth Groups both internally and externally, influencing and raising awareness through communications planning to ensure their contribution is celebrated and valued. Additionally, you will lead, manage, and support a team of country expert volunteers to assist with these objectives.
