About the Role
As a Driver HGV Class 1 at Veolia, you will be responsible for driving any vehicle supplied by the company, having received relevant training. Your duties will include carrying out and completing daily vehicle checks and defect books, ensuring the vehicle is roadworthy and reporting any defects immediately. You will maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle inside and out, secure all loads safely using sheeting and fall arrest systems, and report any accidents or incidents promptly to your supervisor or manager. Adherence to all road traffic rules, company health and safety policies, and correct completion of tachograph uploads are essential. Once driving duties are completed, you will assist with other tasks as directed and follow all reasonable instructions from management. Occasional work at other sites may be required.

Experience
- Previous driving role experience is essential
- Previous waste industry experience is desirable

Qualifications
- Clean, valid UK driving licence
- Class C & E licence
