About the Role
At Veolia, our drivers play a pivotal role in delivering essential services that support local communities and protect the environment. As an HGV Class 2 Driver / Team Leader, you will be responsible for completing daily vehicle and equipment checks, driving HGV trucks when required, assisting with loading activities, and ensuring your team completes their tasks efficiently to maximise productivity. You will maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers, report any defects promptly, and ensure all staff comply with Health and Safety standards, including wearing full PPE. Additionally, you will carry out team leader checks, cover for the PM team leader when needed, and perform any other duties as requested by your Line Manager.

Experience
- Class 2 Licence
- Team leadership and mentoring experience
- IT skills and experience in a similar environment
- Basic understanding of Health & Safety at work
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements
- Strong understanding of waste handling, disposal, and recycling processes
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping abilities

Qualifications
- Up-to-date CPC / DIGI card (essential)
- Desirable: 1+ year Class 2 driving experience
- Desirable: IOSH training
- Desirable: Risk assessment training
