About the Role
Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets. With over 34,000 people in more than 30 countries, we are dedicated to improving quality of life. As a Consultant Ecologist, you will join a team of over 50 ecologists with more than 30 years of experience in ecological surveys, assessments, and providing advice on soil, land use, hydrological and sustainable drainage issues, arboriculture, ecosystem services, natural capital assessment, biodiversity strategies and metrics, and cultural heritage.

You will work on an extensive portfolio of ecology schemes for construction and development projects, including standalone ecology projects and internal client work. Your role will involve undertaking and assisting with ecological surveys, producing Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEAs), biodiversity strategies, licence applications, mitigation and monitoring of licensed work, and liaising with statutory authorities. You will receive personal development opportunities and mentorship from industry-recognised Technical Leaders to enhance your skills and technical knowledge.

At Arcadis, we are committed to protecting the natural environment and water resources while addressing the challenges of climate change, urbanization, and biodiversity loss. Your work will contribute to delivering sustainable solutions in some of the world’s busiest and most beautiful locations, helping to improve quality of life for future generations.
