About the Role
Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets. With over 34,000 people across more than 30 countries, we are dedicated to improving quality of life. Our two-year Graduate GROW Programme supports your transition from student to professional, involving real client work and projects from day one. Each graduate’s journey is unique, shaped by their chosen specialism and the variety of projects they contribute to. You will build technical expertise by contributing to meaningful client engagements and project work, while developing business acumen and professional skills through centrally delivered graduate cohort training. Graduates are encouraged and supported to proactively seek opportunities to broaden their experience and development.
As a specialist and science graduate joining GROW, you will specialise in your chosen discipline from day one. Working in teams of consultants, you will be responsible for your own deliverables, liaise with clients, and have every opportunity to build your skillsets and technical expertise. You will work on a range of environmental and planning projects including major infrastructure, urban regeneration, and community-focused projects, exposing you to a variety of challenges and technical specialists.
Within the Geo-Environmental discipline of our multi-award-winning Site Evaluation and Restoration team, you will undertake site-based ground investigations to determine the nature and quality of ground conditions for geological/geotechnical assessment, soil contamination, and groundwater quality. This data informs design decisions or the need for environmental restoration, which is designed, implemented, and validated to bring sites back into suitable use and protect the environment.
As a graduate, you will work as part of project teams undertaking site work including soil and groundwater sampling, site supervision, desk-based research, and report writing.
Experience
You will be graduating in 2027 or have recently graduated in 2026 with at least a 2:2 in a relevant master's or bachelor's degree. Experience working on site investigations or environmental projects is advantageous but not essential.
About you
You demonstrate resilience, creativity, analytical thinking, and are a team player. You have excellent communication skills and the ability to use your technical knowledge to influence and consult stakeholders. You are willing and able to travel frequently and stay away from home as required. A significant portion of your time will involve site work, which may require extended periods away from your home office.
Qualifications
Accepted degrees include BSc (or higher) in Geology, Environmental Geoscience, Environmental Science, Geophysics, Chemistry, Environmental Consultancy, or similar. You must hold a full driving licence valid for driving in the UK.
