Our Water Design & Engineering team is seeking an Associate Technical Director for our Electrical Design team. In this key leadership role, you will work within multidisciplinary delivery teams on a variety of water and wastewater capital projects, applying your expertise to clients regionally and across the UK.

This role is part of our Resilience Global Business Area, focused on protecting natural environments and water resources while powering the world for future generations.

As Associate Technical Director, you will lead and deliver complex electrical designs including calculations, specifications, reports, and drawings. You will provide design leadership and advisory services for new and existing water and wastewater process plants, pumping stations, and ancillary assets. You will ensure safety through your leadership and actions, deliver multi-disciplinary projects using the latest digital design techniques, and develop innovative, optimised technical solutions based on client needs.

You will lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, establish and grow client and capital alliance relationships, and ensure projects meet technical, legislative, quality, safety, and environmental standards. Mentoring and supervising colleagues' professional development, as well as line management responsibilities, will be key aspects of your role. You will also capture key project and technical knowledge and promote the MEICA team’s capabilities internally and externally.

Experience
- Significant experience and proven track record in technical delivery of process plant systems on complex engineering projects, preferably in the water and wastewater industry.
- Experience working on design and construct projects using digital design platforms.
- Feasibility to detailed design stage delivery experience.
- Team leadership with collaborative behaviours.

Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a directly related discipline.
- Chartered Engineer status and membership of a professional institution such as IET, InstMC, or CIWEM.
