About the Role
Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets. With over 34,000 people across more than 30 countries, we are dedicated to improving quality of life by solving the world’s most complex challenges through collaboration and innovation.
Our Landscape, Masterplanning, Urbanism (LMU) team is expanding and seeking a Landscape Associate Technical Director to join a team of 90+ professionals offering a full spectrum of Landscape Architecture, Masterplanning, and Urban Design services. These services include masterplanning, urban regeneration, strategic planning, design concept, detail and implementation, as well as Environmental Assessment and LVIA/TVIA.
In this role, you will have a strong focus on LVIA/TVIA projects, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams including sector-leading in-house environmental experts, high-profile designers, and external partners. You will work on some of the UK’s largest, most complex, and technically demanding projects such as major energy generation and transmission schemes, residential and mixed-use developments, and significant infrastructure projects for clients including National Highways, Canal and River Trust, High Speed Rail 2, National Grid, Network Rail, and Homes England.
Alongside large-scale projects, you will also engage with smaller, equally exciting projects, contributing to a rich and varied portfolio across national and local levels in both private and public sectors. This role offers the opportunity to be challenged and inspired by projects that demand diverse ideas and solutions, within a culture that values collaboration, sustainability, and innovation.
Join us to make a meaningful impact, working alongside talented colleagues who bring fresh perspectives and a shared passion for delivering sustainable solutions for a more prosperous planet.

- Preferable experience with Town & Country Planning (T&CP) and Development Consent Order (DCO) applications including examination processes.
- Expert witness experience is advantageous.
- Highly skilled in producing high-quality, detailed reports.
