About the Role

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with experience designing electrical systems within buildings to join our Places Design Practice. In this role, you will deliver elegant and efficient electrical design solutions on exciting and challenging projects for key clients across sectors including Industrial Manufacturing, Defence, and Education. You will work collaboratively with clients and multidisciplinary teams to create, support, and enhance smart, safe, and sustainable places where people live, work, learn, and thrive.

As part of your responsibilities, you will work on technical aspects of small projects or components of larger projects, ensuring financial, quality, and timeframe objectives are met while exceeding client expectations. You will prepare accurate drawings, specifications, reports, and other project documentation, applying your analytical, technical writing, and design skills under the supervision of a Senior Engineer. Your work will contribute to the integration of overall design solutions that positively impact the quality of life in the communities we serve.

Experience
Previous relevant experience designing electrical systems within buildings. Experience working on small projects or components of larger projects, delivering to financial, quality, and timeframe objectives.

Qualifications
A BSc/BEng or MSc/MEng degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. Evidence of working towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) status. An understanding of how individual project elements interface with client requirements and overall design integration.
