About the Role
Join Severn Trent’s Waste Water Recycling team as an Electrical Maintenance Technician and be part of a forward-thinking team dedicated to maintaining and improving vital wastewater treatment processes that enhance our region’s rivers. You will proactively and reactively maintain electrical assets across sewage pumping stations and sewage treatment works, including pump motors, electrical circuitry components, contactors, overloads, slip ring assemblies, telemetry outstations, variable speed drives, and motor control circuits. Your responsibilities will include fault diagnostics, timely issue resolution, electrical inspections and testing, interpreting and updating electrical drawings, and supporting the design and build of new processes. You will monitor treatment processes using SCADA systems and respond to alarms as required. This role offers the opportunity to develop your skills through a competency framework from Foundation to Skilled, with the option to progress to Expert status. You will provide timely feedback on work completed and support local maintenance teams with planned and breakdown maintenance activities. If you care about the environment, are curious about how things work, and have the courage to challenge existing ways of working, you will thrive in this role and be proud to work for Severn Trent.
Experience
Proven experience working with process control systems and industrial electrical installations. Experience with various IT systems used in maintenance environments is advantageous. Basic instrumentation skills are desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
