About the Role
Join Severn Trent’s Waste Water Recycling team as an Electrical Maintenance Technician and be part of a forward-thinking group working on a variety of equipment and assets. You will proactively and reactively maintain electrical assets onsite, ensuring treatment processes operate optimally to enhance local rivers. Responsibilities include reacting to failures and planned improvements across sewage pumping stations and treatment works, servicing and replacing assets such as pump motors, electrical circuitry components, contactors, overloads, slip ring assemblies, telemetry outstations, variable speed drives, and motor control circuits. You will support local maintenance teams with planned and breakdown maintenance on electromechanical wastewater assets, undertake fault diagnostics, complete electrical inspections and testing, interpret and update electrical drawings, and support the design and build of new processes. Monitoring treatment processes using SCADA and acting on alarms is also a key part of the role. This position is part of a competency framework supporting your development from Foundation to Skilled, with the option to progress to Expert status. If you care about the environment, are curious about how things work, and have the courage to challenge ways of working, you will be proud to work for Severn Trent.
Experience
Experience working with process control systems and industrial electrical installation standards is essential. Sound diagnostic and problem-solving skills are required. Basic instrumentation skills are desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
About you
