About the Role
At WSP, you will have the opportunity to work on landmark projects and connect with leading experts in your field. We are seeking a Consultant level environmental professional to join our Environmental Management and Assessment Team in the UK. Our portfolio spans multiple sectors including onshore and offshore renewables, aviation, nuclear, rail, highways, energy, and commercial/residential developments. You will support environmental inputs throughout the project lifecycle, from concept and option stages through to consent application, detailed design, construction, and handover/maintenance.
As an EIA Consultant, you will collaborate with diverse environmental specialists and design teams to manage environmental assessments and contribute to sustainable project outcomes. Your role will include coordinating environmental assessments, developing innovative approaches including digital EIA, preparing environmental statements and sustainable design reports, and supporting project bids. You will also apply business skills in managing time, budgets, and project delivery.

Experience
- Degree level qualification in an environment-related discipline
- Professional membership of IEMA, IES, CIWEM or equivalent
- Experience providing environmental support on energy projects, including Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)
- Sound knowledge of environmental issues and the UK environmental and planning regime
- Experience in sectors such as energy, highways, rail, and housing
- Proven ability to liaise effectively with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and external organisations
- Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills
