About the Role
At WSP, you will have the opportunity to work on landmark projects that make a positive impact on communities and the environment. As an Environmental (EIA) Consultant within our Environmental Management and Assessment Team, you will support a diverse portfolio of projects across sectors such as onshore and offshore renewables, aviation, nuclear, rail, highways, energy, and commercial/residential developments. You will manage environmental inputs throughout the project lifecycle, from feasibility and planning through to detailed design, construction, and handover. Your role will involve coordinating environmental assessments, working with multidisciplinary teams, and helping to develop innovative approaches including digital EIA techniques. You will prepare compelling environmental statements, sustainable design reports, and contribute to new project bids. This role is ideal for a proactive individual seeking to influence and deliver environmental elements of engineering projects while progressing their career within a supportive and dynamic team. Experience
- Degree level qualification in an environment-related area
- Professional membership of IEMA, IES, CIWEM or another relevant body
- Experience providing environmental support on energy projects, including Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)
- Sound knowledge of environmental issues and the UK environmental and planning regime
- Experience across sectors such as energy, highways, rail, and housing
- Proven ability to liaise effectively with cross-discipline teams, clients, and external organisations
- Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills
