About the Role
Join WSP as a Consultant level environmental professional supporting the Environmental Management and Assessment Team in the UK. You will contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects spanning sectors such as onshore and offshore renewables, aviation, nuclear, rail, highways, energy, commercial and residential developments. This role involves managing environmental inputs throughout the project lifecycle from feasibility and planning through detailed design, construction, and handover/maintenance. You will coordinate environmental assessments and work closely with technical specialists and design teams to shape sustainable projects that deliver environmental benefits including improved habitats, cleaner air and water, and lower carbon footprints. Key responsibilities include managing project tasks related to bidding, team coordination, project delivery, and financial management. You will prepare compelling environmental statements, sustainable design reports, and support innovative approaches such as digital EIA. Experience
- Degree level qualification in an environment-related area
- Professional membership with IEMA, IES, CIWEM or similar
- Experience providing environmental support on energy projects including EIA
- Sound knowledge of environmental issues and the UK environmental and planning regime
- Experience in sectors such as energy, highways, rail, and housing
- Proven ability to liaise effectively with cross-discipline teams, clients, and external organisations
- Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills
