About the Role
At WSP, you will have the opportunity to contribute to landmark projects and work alongside some of the brightest minds in environmental consultancy. As an Environmental (EIA) Consultant within the Environmental Management and Assessment Team, you will support a diverse portfolio of projects across sectors including onshore and offshore renewables, aviation, nuclear, rail, highways, energy, and commercial/residential developments. Your role will involve managing environmental inputs throughout the project lifecycle, from feasibility and planning through to detailed design, construction, and handover. You will coordinate environmental assessments and EIA teams, work closely with technical specialists and design teams, and help develop innovative approaches including digital EIA techniques. You will prepare compelling environmental statements, sustainable design reports, and contribute to new project bids. This role is ideal for a proactive individual eager to influence and deliver environmental elements of engineering projects while progressing their career within a supportive and inclusive global consultancy. Experience
- Degree level qualification in an environment-related area
- Experience providing environmental support on energy projects including Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)
- Sound knowledge of environmental issues and topics
- Understanding of the UK environmental and planning regime
- Experience in sectors such as energy, highways, rail, and housing
- Proven ability to liaise with cross-discipline teams, clients, and external organisations
- Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills

Qualifications
- Professional membership of IEMA, IES, CIWEM, or another relevant professional body is required or in progress
- Degree in an environment-related discipline
