
Location
Stafford area, with travel to pre-booked venues in Birmingham, Shropshire, and Cheshire. Applicants must live within 10 miles of Stafford or surrounding towns.
Hours
Full time, including availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends per month. Willingness to travel up to an hour each way daily.
Salary
£25,847 per annum
About the Role
Are you passionate about nature and confident in engaging with strangers? Join the RSPB as a Fundraiser in the Stafford area and become a visible, passionate ambassador for conservation. This role involves travelling using a company van (fuel and parking covered) to set up eye-catching fundraising stands at various venues. You will engage the public in meaningful conversations about conservation and inspire them to support the RSPB through regular membership donations. This role is dynamic, often outdoors and on your feet, requiring resilience and the ability to bounce back after challenging days. Full training is provided, and no prior wildlife knowledge is needed. Experience
Fundraising, sales, or customer service experience is required. Experience working outdoors and engaging with the public is advantageous.
About you
You are passionate about people and conservation, resilient in the face of rejection, confident speaking to strangers, and comfortable working outdoors and often alone. You must be willing to work towards clear targets and travel regularly within the designated area.
Qualifications
A full UK driving licence is essential. No specific qualifications are required as full training and support will be provided. You must have the right to work in the UK as this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
