About the Role
As an Arcadian, you help deliver world-leading sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets. You will join our two-year Graduate GROW Programme, supporting your transition from student to professional by working alongside client projects from day one. Your journey will be shaped by your chosen specialism and the variety of projects you contribute to, building technical expertise through meaningful client engagements and project work. Business acumen and professional skills will be developed through centrally delivered graduate cohort training. Graduates are encouraged and supported to proactively seek opportunities to broaden their experience and development.

As a specialist and science graduate, you will specialise in acoustics from day one. Working in teams of consultants, you will be responsible for your own deliverables, liaise with clients, and have every opportunity to build your skillsets and technical expertise. You will work on a range of environmental and planning projects including major infrastructure, urban regeneration, and community-focused projects, exposing you to a variety of challenges and technical specialists.

Role Accountabilities
Our Acoustics team is involved in some of the UK’s most complex and stimulating projects such as Lower Thames Crossing, Barking Riverside Station, High Speed 2, and the Great Grid Upgrade, with expanding projects across Europe and globally. As a Graduate Acoustic Consultant, you will assist in delivering project-related tasks including site surveying, 3-dimensional modelling, and assessment to meet budget, timeframe, and quality targets. You will learn new technical skills focusing on innovation, sustainability, and digital solutions. The role is predominantly office based but involves site work in greenfield, construction, and industrial/transport environments. Site work may range from ad-hoc days to multiple consecutive days depending on the project. Projects cover the entirety of the British Isles, so travel is an essential part of the role.

Requirements

Experience
You will be graduating in 2027 or have recently graduated in 2026 with at least a 2:2 in a relevant master's or bachelor's degree. You will demonstrate typical Arcadian skills including resilience, creativity, analytical thinking, and being a team player.

About you
You have excellent communication skills and the ability to use your technical knowledge to influence and consult stakeholders. You hold a full driving licence valid for driving in the UK. You are willing and able to travel frequently and stay away from home as required. A significant portion of your time will involve site work, which may require extended periods away from your home office.

Qualifications
Accepted degrees include BEng, BSc, MEng, MSc in Maths, Physics, Environmental Science based degrees, Acoustic Engineering, Music Technology, or Civil Engineering.
