About the Role
Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets. With over 34,000 people across more than 30 countries, we are dedicated to improving quality of life. Our two-year Graduate GROW Programme supports your transition from student to professional, involving real client work and projects from day one. Your journey will be shaped by your chosen specialism and the variety of projects you contribute to. You will build technical expertise through meaningful client engagements and project work, while developing business acumen and professional skills via centrally delivered graduate cohort training. Graduates are encouraged and supported to proactively seek opportunities to broaden their experience and development.
As a Graduate Building Structures Engineer, you will specialise within your discipline, gaining the experiences needed to become a technical expert. You will apply your engineering skills with a human-centred approach, making an impact through innovation and creativity. The programme develops core engineering and consulting techniques applicable to UK and international clients.
Arcadis has a global community of structural engineers working on complex buildings in both public and private sectors. You will be supported and mentored to deliver design and collaborate with other professionals on projects ranging from small local developments to large strategic international projects. We provide an excellent programme to support your path to chartership.
Using advanced design tools and techniques, you will develop structural solutions for new and existing buildings of various types. Projects include local schools, gigafactories, and data centres. You will work within multidisciplinary and multinational teams, contributing to design of substructures and superstructures, assessing existing structures, reviewing contractor proposals, coordinating with other disciplines, conducting site visits, and managing project costs within the structural team.
Experience
You will be graduating in 2027 or have recently graduated in 2025 or 2026 with at least a 2:2 in a relevant master's or bachelor's degree.
About you
You demonstrate resilience, creativity, analytical thinking, and are a team player. You have excellent communication skills and the ability to use your technical knowledge to influence and consult stakeholders. You are willing to travel and stay away from home when required, with virtual working embraced where possible.
Qualifications
Accepted degrees include BEng or MEng, MSc in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with structural interests.
