About the Role
Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets. With over 34,000 people in more than 30 countries, we are dedicated to improving quality of life. Our two-year Graduate GROW Programme supports your transition from student to professional, involving client work and real projects from day one. Each graduate’s journey is unique, shaped by their chosen specialism and the variety of projects they contribute to. You will build technical expertise by contributing to meaningful client engagements and project work, while developing business acumen and professional skills through centrally delivered graduate cohort training. Graduates are encouraged and supported to proactively seek opportunities to broaden their experience and support their development.

As a specialist and science graduate joining GROW, you will focus from day one on your chosen discipline. Working in teams of consultants, you will be responsible for your own deliverables, liaise with clients, and have every opportunity to build your skillsets and technical expertise. You will work on a range of environmental and planning projects including major infrastructure, urban regeneration, and community-focused projects, exposing you to a variety of challenges and technical specialists.

Our Soils team, led by the current President of the British Society of Soil Science, has over 30 years of experience undertaking soil, peat, and Agricultural Land Classification surveys across diverse landscapes and protected areas. You will assist in undertaking surveys, processing and analysing data, assessing impacts associated with land use change, writing soil handling strategies, and developing habitat creation, restoration, and translocation approaches.

Requirements

Experience
You will be graduating in 2027 or have recently graduated in 2026, with at least a 2:2 in a relevant master's or bachelor's degree. You will demonstrate typical Arcadian skills including resilience, creativity, analytical thinking, and being a team player.

About you
You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to use your technical knowledge to influence and consult stakeholders. You must be willing to travel and stay away from home when required (virtual working is embraced where possible). You should be comfortable with site-based working when required for projects and hold a full driving licence valid for driving in the UK.

Qualifications
BSc or MSc in a relevant environmental topic with a significant soil science component.
