About the Role
Cundall’s leading Sustainability & Building Physics team is a key part of our international business. As a recognised leader in sustainability worldwide, our team is committed to designing innovative, sustainable, and energy-efficient solutions that minimise the use of natural resources. We are seeking passionate graduates to join us in making a positive impact on the environment and improving homes, offices, industry, and communities.

Joining our Sustainability Team means working on innovative and award-winning projects such as the Hong Kong Science Park, Australia’s first 6 star Green Star community, and the largest biomedical precinct in the Southern Hemisphere. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you will develop your skills in energy modelling and assist with energy and sustainability strategies for new and existing buildings.

You will work across various workstreams including building physics and parametric modelling, building performance and operational energy optimisation, certification and compliance, health and wellbeing guidance, net zero and whole life carbon services, and sustainability design and ESG services.

As your skills develop, you will have opportunities to take on greater responsibility and autonomy, supported by accredited training schemes aimed at achieving professional Chartership.

Requirements

Experience
On target to achieve at least a 2:2 degree. Experience or demonstrable knowledge in building physics, particularly heat transfer, energy, thermal comfort, and natural ventilation is essential. Familiarity with climate-based daylighting analysis, operational energy calculation (TM54), sustainability rating tools such as BREEAM, and life cycle carbon costing is highly beneficial.

About you
You are organised and methodical in managing tasks and priorities, striving to meet deadlines. Collaborative by nature, you communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with internal and external stakeholders. You use your initiative to overcome challenges and maintain a positive, can-do attitude. A strong interest in digital engineering is important, ideally with knowledge of parametric modelling techniques (Grasshopper or Dynamo) or at least one modern programming language such as Python, C#, or VB.

Qualifications
Desirable to hold or be on course to achieve a BEng/MEng degree in Sustainable Engineering, the Built Environment, or an equivalent qualification.

Additional Information
Must have the right to work in the UK as sponsorship is not provided. We value diversity and inclusivity and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and identities.
