About the Role
Cundall’s leading Sustainability & Building Physics team is a key part of our international business. As a recognised leader in sustainability worldwide, our team is committed to designing innovative, sustainable, and energy-efficient solutions that minimise the use of natural resources. We are looking for passionate graduates to join us in making a positive impact on the environment and improving homes, offices, industry, and communities.

Join our Sustainability Team and contribute to innovative and award-winning projects such as the Hong Kong Science Park, Australia’s first 6 star Green Star community, and the largest bio-medical precinct in the Southern Hemisphere.

This is an excellent opportunity for talented sustainability graduates to work on some of the most exciting sustainable design projects in Ireland and globally. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you will develop your skills in energy modelling and assist in creating energy and sustainability strategies for new and existing buildings.

You will work across various workstreams including building physics and parametric modelling, building performance and operational energy optimisation, certification and compliance, health and wellbeing advice, net zero and whole life carbon services, sustainability design, and ESG services.

As your skills develop, you will be encouraged and supported to work towards professional Chartership through our accredited training schemes, with opportunities to take on greater responsibility and autonomy over time.

Requirements

Experience
On target to achieve at least a 2:2 degree. Desirable to have or be working towards a BEng/MEng degree in Sustainable Engineering, the Built Environment, or an equivalent qualification. Demonstrable knowledge of building physics, particularly heat transfer, energy, thermal comfort, and natural ventilation. Experience or knowledge of climate-based daylighting analysis, operational energy calculation using TM54, sustainability rating tools such as BREEAM, and life cycle carbon costing is beneficial.

Familiarity with digital engineering is highly valued, ideally with understanding of parametric modelling techniques (Grasshopper or Dynamo) or proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g. Python, C#, VB).

About you
Organised and methodical in managing tasks and priorities, with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines. Collaborative and empathetic towards clients’ needs, with excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging with internal and external stakeholders. Proactive and positive, able to use initiative to overcome challenges and maintain a can-do attitude.

Qualifications
Must have the right to work in the UK as sponsorship is not provided for this role. Degree qualification as described above is required. Commitment to professional development and working towards Chartership is expected.
