As a Transport Planner, you will plan, improve, manage, and design transport systems at local, regional, and national levels, addressing issues such as safety, climate change, economy, and environment. You will help design and deliver innovative, sustainable transport solutions that improve urban mobility and quality of life. Working alongside experts, you will contribute to strategy development, transport modelling, infrastructure planning, and stakeholder engagement. Using digital tools and data analytics, you will support projects ranging from active travel and public transport upgrades to major infrastructure assessments, helping clients create safer, low-carbon, and connected cities. This role offers opportunities to develop your technical, analytical, and communication skills while making a positive impact on communities and the environment.

Requirements

Experience
You will be graduating in 2027 or have recently graduated in 2025 or 2026, with at least a 2:2 in a relevant master's or bachelor's degree.

About you
You demonstrate resilience, creativity, analytical thinking, and teamwork. You have excellent communication skills and the ability to use your technical knowledge to influence and consult stakeholders. You are willing to travel and stay away from home when required, although virtual working is embraced where possible.

Qualifications
Accepted degrees include BEng, BSc, MEng, or MSc in Transport Planning, Transport Planning & Engineering, Transport & the Environment, Geography, Urban Planning, Maths, Economics, Engineering (any description), Computer Science, or related fields.
