We are currently recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to support a range of sites across South and West London. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on, outdoor work and is keen to contribute to the upkeep of green spaces and communal environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out grass cutting, hedge trimming, border maintenance and weed control
- Litter picking, clearing leaves, and maintaining high site cleanliness
- Use hand tools and powered horticultural machinery safely and efficiently
- Support winter services including gritting, snow clearance and festive installations
- Report hazards and site issues to management promptly
- Operate vehicles, equipment, and tools in line with health & safety procedures
- Use a smartphone for task tracking and daily schedules
- Undertake relevant training as required for the role
What We’re Looking For:
- Passion for outdoor work and reliable timekeeping
- Physically fit and capable of manual work in all weather
- Comfortable using smartphones and digital tools on the job
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance is desirable but not essential
- PA1 & PA6 spraying licences are a plus (not required)
- Full UK driving licence preferred (for mobile roles or vehicle use)
Pay:
£12.60 per hour
Hours:
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (occasional seasonal variation)
Location:
South and West London (exact site details provided at interview)
