About the Role
A full-time, permanent role for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join a professional team maintaining the grounds across Gatwick Airport to a high standard. Duties include grass cutting using ride-on and pedestrian mowers, hedge trimming, pruning and shrub maintenance, strimming, blowing and general garden maintenance, planting and seasonal landscaping work, tree maintenance and garden clearance, litter picking, leaf clearance and emptying bins, hard surface maintenance, operating a range of grounds maintenance machinery and equipment, driving company vehicles where required, completing daily work records, following health and safety procedures, and working as part of a team to deliver a high-quality service.
Experience
- Previous grounds maintenance or horticultural experience preferred but not essential
- Experience using handheld grounds maintenance equipment is an advantage
About You
- Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Able to provide 5 years of checkable employment history for airport security clearance
Qualifications
- Full UK manual driving licence (essential)
- PA1 and PA6 spraying licences (beneficial but not essential)
