We are currently recruiting a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join a leading grounds care team working across sites in the North London area. This is a full-time, permanent role ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in presentation, and wants to contribute to high-quality green space maintenance.

What You Will Do:

• Carry out grass and hedge cutting, weeding, border maintenance, and leaf clearance

• Perform litter picking, spraying, and sweeping to maintain clean and tidy sites

• Operate hand tools and powered horticultural machinery

• Support with winter services including gritting, snow clearing, and seasonal installations

• Maintain a safe working environment by following site-specific health and safety procedures

• Report site hazards to management and complete basic task reporting using smartphone apps

• Undertake training as required to ensure safe and effective use of tools and equipment

• Operate vehicles and machinery in line with licence and training

• Work across flexible sites and support additional tasks as needed

What We Are Looking For:

• Full UK driving licence (essential for mobile working and vehicle access)

• Enthusiastic about working outdoors in all weather

• Basic smartphone skills for logging work and completing schedules

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping (desirable but not essential)

• Spraying qualifications (PA1 and PA6) are desirable

• Reliable, safety-conscious, and physically fit

• Positive attitude, team player, and good timekeeper

Pay:
£13.85 per hour

Hours:
Full time – 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Location:
North London area (N1 and surrounding sites)
