About the Role
Join Veolia and become a pivotal part of our team, maintaining a diverse fleet of over 100 types of vehicles. As an HGV Technician, no two days are the same. You will be responsible for the day-to-day servicing, MOT preparation, and repairs of our HGVs to ensure they remain safe and reliable on the road. Your work supports our street-side operatives in delivering essential services to millions of customers across the UK.

Key responsibilities include carrying out routine vehicle inspections, fault finding, repairs, and maintenance of the Veolia fleet, third-party vehicles, and plant equipment in line with manufacturer and industry standards. You will also complete all necessary paperwork and timesheets accurately and attend roadside breakdowns when required.

Experience
Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Technician is preferred, ideally with an NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Qualification or equivalent. However, skilled or semi-skilled Technicians are encouraged to apply as upskilling and development will be provided.

You should be motivated, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards of vehicle safety and performance. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn and grow within the role are essential.

Qualifications
Hold a valid HGV driving licence. Relevant mechanical or vehicle technician qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 are desirable but not mandatory if you have the right experience and attitude.
