About the Role

As a Workshop Operations Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining and repairing Veolia’s fleet and third-party vehicles and plant equipment to factory and industry standards. Your responsibilities will include performing vehicle diagnostics, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic repairs, conducting HGV MOT inspections and emergency roadside repairs, and ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations. You will be the first point of contact for technicians, coordinating work allocation, managing contractor communications, and overseeing workshop operations including job card processes, shift handovers, and technician productivity. Additionally, you will coordinate holiday schedules, training allocation, and wash operative coverage across all depots. Experience
- Proven experience in vehicle maintenance and repairs, ideally with supervisory responsibilities
- Familiarity with HGV MOT regulations and vehicle diagnostics
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively

Qualifications
- Essential: City & Guilds or HGV NVQ Level 3 in vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Desirable: Forklift licence (Counterbalance), HGV Licence, Welding/fabrication skills, Plant/RCV experience, IRTEC approval, Electrical knowledge, Leadership experience
