About the Role
Veolia Dewatering and Maintenance Solutions are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to work on water company sites predominantly in the South of England. This role is ideal for existing Field Service Engineers looking for new challenges and offers the opportunity to join a proactive and passionate team.
Key responsibilities include working as part of a team, often with two engineers across various sites; assisting with inspections, servicing, and repairs of customers' dewatering machines; mechanical repairs and modifications to pumps, pipework, valves, and ancillary equipment; pipework installations using plastic, stainless steel, and mild steel materials; undertaking standby cover and overtime including working away from home; completing test reports, installation certificates, and customer feedback documents; ensuring energy efficient operation of assets to minimize downtime and pollution risks; and reducing raw material usage by completing thorough service and maintenance tasks with first-time fixes.

Experience
Previous experience working in an industrial environment or newly qualified in mechanical engineering is required.
About you
Full UK Driving License is essential. You should be motivated to work in a team environment and willing to undertake standby cover and overtime as required.
Qualifications
NVQ or a recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering maintenance at Level 3 is required. Ideally, candidates will be COMPEX and PASMA trained, with current Confined Space and First Aid certification. Desirable qualifications include Clean Water and SHEA Water certification, IOSH Managing Safely, and DSEAR Awareness.
