As a Junior Ground Investigation Consultant, you will be an integrated member of our UK-wide team, supporting ground investigation projects through data collection, site and task management, and reporting. You will gain hands-on experience in intrusive ground condition assessments and contribute to health and safety documentation, sampling, technical report writing, and other key project tasks.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects alongside technical experts within an award-winning team, part of a global top 3 consultancy in the field. You will be involved in field-based work across the UK, including site management with a strong focus on health and safety, soil and groundwater sampling, logging soils to British Standards, in-situ field testing, and managing sample collection and laboratory scheduling.
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to produce project outputs that meet client expectations and comply with national standards. Developing effective relationships with project managers and clients, you will communicate progress, resolve issues, and build your understanding of Arcadis services and the industry sector.

Experience
Entry-level experience supporting ground investigation projects, including site work and supervising contractors such as drillers. Ability to work independently, within local office teams, and larger multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget. Proficient report writing skills and an awareness of risks associated with ground investigations including health & safety, budgetary, and technical considerations.

Qualifications
BSc or BEng (or higher) in Geology, Geography, Civil Engineering, Environmental Geoscience, Environmental Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent. UK & clean driving licence is required.
