Hours
38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30 am - 3:36 pm plus standby rota payments and overtime opportunities which can increase earning potential by up to £8,000-£10,000 per annum upon completion of essential company training.
Salary
Up to £45,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience, plus company van, tools, and PPE provided.
About the Role
We are recruiting a Mechanical & Electrical Technician to join our Clean Water Division. You will use your mechanical and electrical expertise to inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify, or repair mechanical plant and associated electrical equipment safely, efficiently, and with minimal supervision. Your work ensures all sites remain operational for the benefit of our customers and helps reduce environmental pollution.
- Prioritise health, safety, and well-being by complying with Health and Safety at Work regulations and Thames Water’s guidelines.
- Undertake reactive and planned maintenance, respond to alarms, fault find, fix or escalate issues, and install new plant and equipment in line with current standards and regulations.
- Record work and asset information to improve business performance, identify future risks, and recommend changes.
- Provide specialist technical advice, coach, train, and develop staff including apprentices.
- Deliver excellent customer experience by interacting professionally and respectfully with internal and external customers.
All PPE, tools, and a company van are provided when on duty and on call.
Experience
Time-served apprentice with significant experience in mechanical and electrical systems or holding NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 in mechanical/electrical engineering.
