About the Role
The RSPB is the UK’s largest nature conservation charity, dedicated to protecting birds and wildlife, restoring ecosystems, and addressing the nature and climate emergency. Our Technology & Digital team is expanding, and we are seeking a versatile Middleweight Solutions Architect with 3-5 years of experience to join us. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful projects spanning customer engagement, data platforms, and operational systems that support nature conservation.
You will work collaboratively with business stakeholders, delivery teams, and senior architects to design and guide the implementation of scalable, secure, and sustainable technology solutions across the RSPB’s digital and enterprise landscape. Your role will involve translating complex business requirements into technical designs aligned with architectural principles and strategic goals, ensuring solutions meet security, compliance, data protection, and accessibility standards.
As a natural problem solver and strong communicator, you will champion sustainable and inclusive design approaches that reflect RSPB’s environmental and ethical values, while maintaining up-to-date solution documentation and participating in governance forums and architecture reviews.

- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, delivery-focused mindset
About You
- Strong collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

- User-focused with a commitment to understanding and addressing user needs as part of a service design approach
- Curious, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with others to develop solutions

- Experience within the charity, non-profit, or public sector
- Familiarity with CRM systems such as Dynamics 365 or Salesforce, and data platforms
