Key Responsibilities:
General cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, toilet cleaning, bin area maintenance, litter picking, cobweb removal, lamp/bulb changing, and damp wiping
Adhering to Health & Safety procedures, particularly regarding PPE, equipment operation, manual handling, and COSHH
Cleaning properties that include general needs, supported, and sheltered accommodation
Assisting with cover and workloads during Bank Holiday weeks
Handling Periodicals and work orders
Dealing with one-off and emergency cleaning tasks
Following company procedures and ensuring all tasks are completed on time
Signing relevant attendance sheets and reporting completion of works
Reporting to your supervisor or manager daily
Following weekly planned work schedules
Using Timegate for job sign-on/off, taking before and after photos
Reporting issues at sites such as bulky waste, anti-social behavior, graffiti, etc.
Keeping company equipment and property clean and tidy, ensuring proper storage of tools
If provided with a company vehicle, maintaining its cleanliness and conducting regular checks on oil, tire conditions, etc.
Acting as a two-way communication point between the office team and field staff
Reporting any incidents to your Contracts Manager/Supervisor promptly
Completing any additional work as required by the company or management
Additional Duties for Floor Cleaning:
Cyclical carpet cleaning and floor polishing
Hard floor stripping and sealing, using equipment such as scrubber-dryers and buffing machines
Ensuring daily checks and reporting any damage to equipment
Basic maintenance of equipment to ensure it is in working condition
Responsibilities:
Using initiative to park and secure company vehicles at customer sites or public roads
Carrying out risk assessments at each site before starting work
Reporting any concerns immediately to your line manager
Ensuring safety signs are in place before commencing any work
Keeping work phone on in case of schedule changes
Attending sites in a logical order to minimize travel time and time spent in traffic
Full, clean manual UK driving licence.
Previous cleaning experience in commercial settings.
Physically fit and capable of handling a demanding workload, including navigating stairs and large sites.
Self-motivated with a "can-do" attitude and a strong sense of pride in work.
