Part-time Engagement Arboriculturist - Tree Specialist


We are seeking a skilled Engagement Arboriculturalist to help manage our tree nursery and lead on community tree-planting projects. This is a new role offering the chance to combine arboriculture expertise with volunteer and community engagement.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage tree stock from seed collection through to planting or sale
- Lead on propagation, pruning, irrigation, and tree care
- Support and inspire volunteers, schools, and community groups
- Work with local authorities on planting plans and aftercare
- Organise planting days, workshops, and community events
- Maintain records, manage stock/tools, and contribute to social media updates
What we’re looking for:
Qualified to at least Level 2 in Arboriculture (or equivalent in horticulture/forestry)
Practical experience with trees (professional or volunteer)
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to engage and motivate volunteers and community groups
IT and record-keeping skills; knowledge of tree management or GIS software desirable
Driving licence desirable but not essential
