About the Role
We currently have a great opportunity for a career-minded individual to join our team at Kidlington as the Plant & Depot Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the real-time availability of mobile plants and the direct delivery of equipment and engineering parts to Thames Water Field Teams, while maintaining Health & Safety, Environmental, Water Quality, and Plant standards.
Your core duties will include ensuring all plant and signage/barriers are received, secured, delivered, and collected in line with customer service levels. You will maintain robust processes for monitoring, reporting, damage assessment, and maintenance of all plant and signage/barriers. Providing real-time visibility of plant and signage/barrier holdings through SAP or related systems will be essential.
You will ensure controls and processes adhere to audit and governance protocols, manage plant hire and off-hire through our in-house team and/or nominated suppliers to drive real-time usage, efficiency, and cost control. Additionally, you will coordinate plant damage procedures, ensure all plants are in good working order, and that necessary repairs and services are carried out according to manufacturer recommendations. Any discrepancies must be investigated and addressed immediately with relevant stakeholders and internal specialists.
Experience
- Experience in a plant hire or operational environment is essential.
- Demonstrable experience in managing budgets.
- Demonstrable commercial awareness and understanding.
About you
- Ability to legally drive in the UK and have your own transport.
- Operating a counterbalance or telehandler forklift is desirable but not essential, as training can be provided.
Qualifications
- Forklift licence training and qualification will be provided if required.
