
Location
Radley, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, covering a large geographic area including Reading, Abingdon, Bicester, Milton Keynes, Bedford and surrounding locations.
Hours
8 hours per day, usually starting at 7:30am depending on site. Includes a 1 hour lunch break. Finish times and working days to be confirmed. 40 hours per week.

About the Role
Join a leading company carrying out all aspects of plumbing work on new build properties for major builders such as Berkley, Taylor Wimpey, Bellway and Pye Homes. As an apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience working within new build homes, learning plumbing, heating, renewable energy, general plumbing repairs and maintenance, central heating servicing and installation, boiler servicing and installation, and bathroom and kitchen installation. You will assist skilled plumbers, learning planning, selecting, sizing, installation, testing, fault finding, diagnostics, and maintenance tasks. You will develop skills in interpreting technical drawings, precision measuring, and using hand and power tools safely. The role requires maintaining a clean and organized work environment, following health and safety policies, and may include assisting with general site labouring and observing other trades to understand building project sequences.
Training
This apprenticeship includes regular training with Abingdon and Witney College or other training organisations, with at least 20% of your working hours spent training or studying. The training course is Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technician Level 3, lasting 4 years. Apprentices attend college one day per week and train in the workplace the rest of the time. Recruitment is focused on candidates living in Newbury, Basingstoke, Andover, Aylesbury, Witney, Maidenhead, and Slough.

GCSEs in English (grade 4 and above), Maths (grade 4 and above), and Driving (grade Pass) are essential. Candidates with other relevant qualifications or industry experience should inform the company as the apprenticeship can be adjusted accordingly.
